Scientific Animation Theater

NEW THIS YEAR! Submit your video clip to the SCIENTIFIC ANIMATION THEATER (SAT)!

Scientific Animation Theater (SAT) is a new showcase for your scientific animations, video clips, or visualizations of time-varying processes or data. It will be held in conjunction with the Interactive Demos Lab (IDL).

Similar to other electronic theater venues, the video clips shown at Vis 2006 will represent the state-of-the-art in scientific visualization, computer graphics, and rendering. The focus will be less on artistic impression and commercial applications, and more on scientific content, "how-to" illustrations, animated visualizations, and narrated software/application demos.

Your video submission is independent from a potential paper submission. However, the video can be related to and support or illustrate work submitted to other conference sessions.

Submissions will be reviewed by the IDL chairs and compiled into a scientific animation reel which will play continuously during the Interactive Demonstrations Lab sessions.

Deadline: August 11, 2006
